Amoretto is our beautiful bay colt, born in May 2023. He is by Lux Z (Lord Calando/Ahorn Z) out of Quintessa (Vision van't Hazelarenhoekje/Nimmerdor).
Amoretto's sire Lux Z started his career in Holstein before moving to The Netherlands. Later he commenced a successful international career with Italian showjumping rider, Jerry Smit, and the pair competed at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. They also won the Pulsar Crown competitions at Valkenswaard and Cannes, and participated in the WEG in Jerez in 2004.
His sons, Lupicor, Nobility and Niveau were licensed in The Netherlands, and Nagano was licensed in Belgium. In Germany he has produced six licensed sons: Lariano, Lorimor, Lagunas, Luxels, Luxius and Luxano.
Amoretto descends from one of the very best KWPN dam lines, the Lottie stam (fokfamilie 300). The great mare Lottie (Sineada/Commandeur) produced the approved KWPN stallion and international show jumping horse Irco Polo, the National jumping star Patroeska, and the broodmare Zottie. Zottie produced three very good sport horses and two performance mares including Oklahoma (Farn/Marco Polo), who herself produced three very good show jumpers and even four performance mares. The most famous of these four performance mares is Elottie W (Ramiro/Farn) who has become the mother of 21 offspring, nine of which are now competing in the sport above 1.40m, four of which even compete at 1.60m level. Amoretto's granddam Lottie W is one of these 1.60m competitors out of Elottie W.
